Cardinals Win World Series, Puss In Boots Hits Big, Statue of Liberty Birthday, and More!

You’ve barely had time to put on your pants and get that morning cup of coffee, providing that you’ve gotten up out of bed to begin with. It is time to look at what’s trending on Google for early morning on Saturday October 29th 2011. A glimpse into the demented psyche of the Internet, early on a Saturday Morning. I would do Twitter as well but that’s a bit too demented for my psyche.

Grimm: Referring to the new television show based off of the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm, but twisted and turned in a certain way. Apparently the show is moving forward with some rave reviews on this Saturday Morning. Time will tell if Grimm will be a ratings success long term or a ratings bomb.

Gold Rush: Proof that people will watch anything. Gold Rush is a show on the Discovery Channel It is being tapped for a potential second season. Again anyone will decide to watch anything. Especially when it has to do with people looking for Gold. Then again the Discovery channel has been weird in recent years. Then again most things on television have been weird in recent years.

Grimm Fairy Tales: A trend so nice, they had to trend it twice. Given that Grimm made its debut episode last night, it just goes to show that people are going to be looking for information about it.

Statue of Liberty: 125 years old as of this Friday was the Statue of Liberty. The Statue of Liberty served as an inspiration for American immigrants. Legal American immigrants I might add. Still it does serve as an inspiration of liberty for the country when the government most certainly does not a lot of the time.

St. Louis Cardinals: For those of you who have been living in a cave, the World Series has been happening in Baseball. The St. Louis Cardinals beat the Texas Rangers 6-2 to win the final game. I know a lot of people who are going to be happy about that and a lot of people who won’t be happy.

Daylight Savings 2011: Daylight Savings Time is on November 6th. They changed in years ago. It would have been this week had someone had a brain in their skull and know that it does matter when you have Daylight Savings time. It just only accomplishes screwing up my sleep schedule beyond all belief. That is pretty much it. Get rid of it, please.

Puss In Boots: The spinoff of Shrek just came out to theaters. And it apparently is poised to do pretty good on its opening weekend. Another hit for the franchise at least for the financial gain but the fact is the quality tends to be mix.

Google TV: Google continues its attempt to take over the world, as it makes some tweaks of Google TV. Given the absolute flop that Google TV has been in the past, you wonder if Google is knowing what it’s doing. This appears to be a response to Apple TV. The Internet business is rather dirty pool. We’ll see if this second round of bat for Google TV.

Alot: Given that my Microsoft Word rebelled against me when I tried to type “alot”, it is not a word. Funnily enough, I knew an English teacher who would pretty much hang someone up by their thumbs for using “alot” instead of a lot. It is one of those common mistakes. It doesn’t bug me but it’s wrong and “alot” really bugs some people.

CJ Wilson: The now former pitcher of the Texas Rangers and apparently a free agent. His value is being called into question by a lot of people after various things. I only pay the most casual of interests towards Baseball. I know enough to know enough and sometimes that is just not enough.

So that is what’s trending on Google for October 29th 2011 in the early morning. Be back later for more Google trends.
