Remembering Richard Dawson

Very sad to hear of the passing of Richard Dawson, the host of Family Feud, for nine years from 1976-1985 and for one year in 1994-1995, as he replaced Ray Combs for a brief comeback. One of the most gifted game show hosts, great entertainers out there, has passed away on June 2nd 2012 at the Age of 79 years old. The result of the death had been esophageal cancer.

Dawson for years and years, was well known right in the Entertainment field. Obviously, when people say the name Richard Dawson, they think of Family Feud. Those slightly older, may remember Dawson for his rule on Hogan's Heroes, as Corporal Peter Newkirk.

We lose a man who is rather great, a gifted entertainer, and someone who has really brought joy into the hearts and lives of many. We would like to take a moment to reflect of another face from the past, another man who lived what could be considered a good long life for most but has since passed on. Rest in Peace, Richard Dawson, you were surely one of the greatest out there.

Rest in Peace Richard Dawson, November 30th 1932 through June 2nd 2012.
