Scaling Down Big Government

What have the past four years taught us right in the United States?  Government intervention and involvement for anything does not end well. Even with the best intentions, things do not go well. It goes without saying that politicians rarely have the best intentions in mind, unless those best intentions mean gaining power, influence, and obviously money. To the point where those in Washington are out of touch with the average American and just live into their own bubble.

Big Government: The Key Cause of the United States Economic Crisis, the Destruction of Liberty, and the Crushed Hopes of American People.

Big government is a problem. When the government micro manages everything, based off of data is skewed at the best, meddling in things that they should not meddle in and they just add to the issues, more than solve the problems. Every time the government tries some kind of bail out, we lose our individual liberties as people and are pulled further into a no win situation.

The current economic crisis has accelerated over the past several years. The fortunes of many people have gotten worse to a significant level. To the point where we are dependent on an entity that appears to be inadequate, self serving, and impatient. We all know that government is necessary to an extent to police the masses. A lawless world would most certainly not feel one.

With the other extreme, where the government micro manages people, making the choices for them each and every step around the way. The health care reforms really has been a talking point. To make health insurance something that is compulsory, has outraged many. The Health Care reform has its share of supporters, everything does, even if it does strip away each and every one of our individual liberties.

The United States Government have gotten too powerful and their power will be the downfall of the nation. The government is spying on many of our communications already and now these health insurance laws are created. Where do we draw the line? The system of checks and balances are not what they used to be. It is only a small fortune  that the Supreme Court have questioned how constitutional this health insurance practices are.

In the end, it will not ease many people. Freedom of choice is something that only exists on paper. With each every day, our freedoms are slowly being whittled away. Is it the fault of the people? Well in the system that has been created with two political parties, perhaps in a way, as few will vote for a third party, because we have been lead to believe that we are throwing our vote away. A two party system is not conductive to choice, and we will suffer the most in any squabbles between the Republican and Democrat parties.

We vote for the lesser of two evils. That is what the world has come to. An election is a contest over who is the more convincing liar, who is going to screw us over the least. Freedom is only used as a measure to put down other countries, to give us an excuse to go to war with them, to change their governments, because we didn't agree with them. People do have the freedom to choose as long as the United States agrees with it of course. If the people also hate the regime, that is irrelevant. What is relevant is that the citizens of this country get thrown under the bus.

The most horrifying aspect to this would be that things can get worse. We can be even more stifled by the government. Perhaps if one is willing to look for the signs, we are on the path to even have even more freedoms limited. For the good of our nation and to maintain the freedom of the United States. Big government is a strain and it is only going to get bigger.
