Frost advisory in the Midwest United States

It has begun. It frosted last night and there is an advisory out for said frost.

Well I did say that frost would be coming up. However, I did not really know how soon that it would be for many of us here in the Midwestern United States. Or at least the area where I lived to say the very least. Went outside early this morning and found that there was frost on the picnic table. Funnily enough the frost happened, right after they took it out of the weather forecast for a while. That just goes to show you that the only foolproof way of predicting the weather is to stick your head outside and see what is going on.

I think that the weather in the world these days defies pretty much all conventional logic when you really think about it. It’s going to get back up into the 70s next week. The poor birds must be confused. Hell the poor humans are not all that much better. Well I guess since its frosting, time to start clearing off your garden if you have not started already. Of course around these parts, the crops have been failing ever since the beginning of September. It has not been a good year for gardeners. Then again, I think many are just pleased that we got any little thing at all.

Frost advisory all morning to say the least. The days of summer, those scorching triple digit temps are long since passed. Now we’re sliding into the other side of the spectrum. It’s funny how we often get the worst of both worlds. Well not the worst, but pretty bad parts of both worlds. Hopefully everyone remains warm until it actually warms up. Bundle up if you have to head out this morning and hopefully everything will turn out for the better. Autumn is here but I’m sure winter like weather we’ll be rearing its ugly head.
