Firefox 8 Beta Already?

Do you know what version of Firefox is the latest? Apparently, I didn’t, I just realized that Firefox 7 had been released as of late. That really just floored me, as Firefox 4 had just been released earlier this year. I sort of had an idea that Firefox 5 had been released to the general public as well. I had no idea that Firefox 6 was released and then the fact that Firefox 7 had just come out was in fact the mystery of all mysteries to say the very least.

There does seem to be a lot of different versions of Firefox being put out this year, doesn’t there? And what’s more is that Firefox 8 is in Beta stage and also Firefox 9 is in development. Expect to see those sooner than later before we go into 2012. Firefox has been releasing an insane amount of new browser versions. Of course one must wonder if the popular web browser, Mozilla Firefox, should be taking a few steps back and just smelling the roses.

There is most likely a need for some updates. That much is determined but I just wonder in some of these cases if some updates would rather have been whether served as a 4.XXX update as opposed to versions 5, 6, or 7. I think that these many dynamic Firefox updates is going to be something that is going to cause many users to spin their heads to say the very lease.

Right now, Mozilla Firefox is one of the premier Internet browsers. Firefox is getting ambitious for sure with these changes. Perhaps a little too ambitious to say the very least, given that Firefox 8 Beta is pretty much go. Google Chrome is gaining some traction but perhaps due to its simplicity. Firefox on the other hand seems to be a little less simple to say the very least. Time will tell how good Mozilla Firefox continues to do.

Still in the end, there has been some curious decisions with so many dynamic versions of the browser being put out, perhaps it shouldn’t have been named past Firefox 4.
