The sands of
time are spiraling through the hour glass. Indeed in this early morning, we
have approximately 15 more days until Christmas, which means if you wait until
the absolute last minute on Christmas Eve, it is now 14 more shopping days. You
are in the pressure cooker right now. There is still time but with each passing
day, you are eliminating your prospects to getting everyone Christmas gifts.
Your procrastination on doing
your Christmas shopping has really put you in a tight spot for sure. Will you
finally decide to drag yourself out of bed today and head shopping? It could be
a cold morning. I know it is where I live. Eleven degrees, that’s Fahrenheit
for those keeping track at home. Wind chills of single digits, weather that is
not fit for man nor beast. And that is if you are lucky enough not to get the
snow.
I see a slight dusting of snow on
the ground. That may be a sign of things to come much later. Temps will rise on
Sunday, fall by Monday. Who knows what the future holds from there. At least I
am secure of getting my Christmas shopping done but are you?
Have you sent out those Christmas
cards yet? If you have family out of state, you really should be getting on
that pronto as the mail is no doubt going to be congested. Of course, many of
you send e-cards. For those who decide to do things the old fashion way still,
to add that personal touch, time is rapidly running out.
Speaking of the mail, you do
realize that there is far less time to order online if we want standard
shipping. No postal mail on Sundays after all. We are on the edge of the 7-10
business days. So whether you go to Amazon.com or any of the official retailer
websites such as Wal-Mart, Office Max, Circuit City, Barnes and Noble, or
whatever, time is running out.
Tick tock, the weather outside
might be frightful. Hopefully you have time, hopefully you will not be buried
in by snow, boxed in, desperate. Those in the northeast know what I am talking
about, when this past October, an unexpected early snow storm had caused panic
and disrupted power, knocking out the electricity for almost a week in some
cases.
For each and every day you delay,
you have more of a chance of an emergency.
14 more shopping days to
Christmas. Tis the season for credit card debt after all. Will this be the day
you pull the trigger on your Christmas shopping?
