Clock ticks
down, the sands of time spinning around as the Christmas season is really going
to get the better of us. Perhaps you are about ready to go out to finally wrap
up that Christmas shopping and won’t be stumbling upon this until you get back,
or perhaps you will do it this weekend. Regardless we have 10 more days until
Christmas, which means approximately 9 more shopping days until Christmas and
that is counting today.
You know, it did strike me that
some people tend to wait and hope for some kind of holiday bonus, so they don’t
have to stretch their own funds so think. For those of you who might be
laughing about the absolute hilarious nature of receiving a holiday bonus, in
this day and age, you have in fact proved my point.
Perhaps you have gotten holiday
bonuses every year at your job, but do remember that if the current economic
climate has taught us anything, that would be the fact that the only thing is
for sure, is nothing is for sure. Businesses close, workers get fired, wages
get sliced, everything turns around and a company who gives out that holiday
bonus might decide, this is an easy expense to cut and hack.
Money that you don’t have
currently in your pocket, wallet, bank account, wherever, is not money that you
can count on. Do not hang your hat on the possibility of receiving any kind of
holiday bonus. You’d be setting yourself up for a cold and harsh Christmas
season. You might be surprised, but I think that there is trouble if you hadn’t
budgeted your money well enough and you still plan on doing Christmas shopping.
Today is December 15th
2011. Do you know where your Christmas gifts are? Have you purchased them? Time
is running dry and the postal service is entering crunch time. You might have
to do two day shipping or overnight shipping, which we should note does not
mean you receive your items on time. Hopefully the FedEx truck will be arriving
in your neighborhood.
Ten more days until the big day
but only nine more days of Christmas shopping left. Tick, tock, tick tock.
