Santorum Puts a Small Crack on Romney's Presidential Election Hopes With Victory on Tuesday Night

What does Rick Santorum's victory in Alabama and Mississippi mean? Well it means that the race is still on. Mitt Romney who seemed at one time to be the obvious man to take on Barack Obama in the 2012 Presidential Election, seems a bit less obvious. It is a two horse race right now for the battle between Santorum and Romney, with Newt Gingrich is still just barely hanging right in there. And for the sake of completeness, Ron Paul is around, but despite the fact that he has his supporters, it is unlikely he is going to get anywhere close to the election. No doubt there is any sorts of conspiracy theories that Ron Paul supporters would like to throw out about him being shut out, about mass mind control or what have you. And Romney is not out of the race yet. But one thing is for certain. As the Republicans squabble, Barack Obama continues to plot as the road for the 2012 Presidential Election.

The Race to the Presidency Continues With No Clear Cut Opponent for Obama.

Romney had his share of victories, mostly in United States territories such as America Samoa and Guam. Rick Santorum is managing to gain some ground in the Southern states in the United States. The primaries are a territorial thing, much like the Election itself. And as the election draws closer, we are going to have no one who is clear cut against Barack Obama, whether it is Rick Santorum, Mitt Romney, or anyone else, it is not completely know right now.

Of course the question on everyone's minds is, does it really manner? Will it just be the same story with a different name no matter who faces Obama? Whether Obama wins or lose? Whether it be Santorum or Romney? Will the true losers be the American people no matter who gets elected.

The next four years may be far worse than the previous four years for the economy. That is the possibility that many have done.

Regardless, there is no opponent for Obama, there is no one on one(well technically there will be third party candidates, but they don't mean much, which is a shame when you think about it), and thus no opponent for Obama as the 2012 Presidential Election draws nearer. It is not new that the primaries can be even more brutal, a closer race than the actual Presidential election. But the window is closing.

Romney and Santorum prepare for the new primary on Puerto Rico on Sunday. Yet, neither Rick Santorum or Mitt Romney seem unwilling to give up. It is going to be a battle of wills at this point.
