Snow! We Don't Have to Go To School Today!

Well technically I haven't had to go to school for some time now. But still we got a few inches of snow, and thus a few schools got cancelled. Mostly the rural area schools where even if there is a bit of snow, it makes leaving your house a fight for your life. Still snow has arrived, on January 12th. Thankfully not has bad as it could have been.

A Mild Winter So Far Actually.

In the days leading up to the snowfall, it was in the 50s, which is obviously strange for the winter season for the number of reasons. Obviously there are all kinds of theories of what that could be. Of course last year, we had one of the most horrific years weather wise in quite some time. When the snow comes down, it doesn't care who you are, what you're doing, and how soon you need to get there. Then we had the scorcher of a summer where many died from heat stroke. Granted, perhaps they should not have been mowing their yards in the heat of the day.

Snow has arrived and people tend to forget how to drive as well. Hopefully this winter will not be too bad. More snow obviously means snow days, which makes children happy. It makes everyone else not so happy to say the very least. I remember only getting one snow day in about eight years and then the year after I graduated high school, they got like about four or five.

Granted, they have to stay longer at the end but I'll be honest with you. I'd rather deal with humid weather then risking life and limb.

Hopefully the weather is not too bad, as the winter of 2011-2012 seems to be a wild one. Fitting, for the supposed last winter before December 21st 2012, if you believe that insane theory that is, that the world is going to end.
