Famous(and Infamous) December 26th Birthdays

December 26th 2011 is here and today we get to take a look at some of the famous(and in some cases, infamous), names that were born on December 26th. Those who just missed out on having Christmas as their birthday by the most narrow of margins.

Mao Tse-Tung celebrated a birthday on December 26th. For years and years, the Chairman ruled over Communist China. He was most certainly a man that many know very well, for a multitude of reasons, both good and bad. Never the less, December 26th celebrated the birthday of Chairman Mao.

The legendary Steve Allen celebrated a birthday on December 26th. Allen really made the Tonight Show, a staple of night time talk television what it was. He was known for his wit and known to professional wrestling fans for his appearance at Wrestlemania VI and also hosting the Un-Real Story of Professional Wrestling in 1998. Sadly his latter years was part of the hated Parents Television Council, drinking the Kool-aid of one L. Brent Brozell, but never the less, we should not discount Steve Allen’s many contributions.

Ozzie Smith a legendary baseball player, who was a shortstop who won 13 gold gloves awards. Many people will remember him however for showing up on the Simpsons however, during the 1992 Episode, Homer at Bat.

John Walsh is a well known name, celebrating his birthday today, the host of the long running television program “America’s Most Wanted”. He also works tirelessly for the safety of children, inspired by the death of his young son Adam.

There are some people who will be celebrating their Birthday on December 26th, both among the living and the dead and a happy birthday to anyone who might be reading this who is celebrating their birthday.
