12 Days of Christmas Shopping and Counting

Everyone trying to drag yourself right out of bed on this Monday morning. Garfield hates Mondays and I’m not too fond of them either most weeks. Yet I realized that when I woke up, on this Monday, 12/12/11, December 12th 2011, where there was only approximately 13 more days until Christmas(counting today of course), and that means there are only 12 more shopping days until Christmas(again counting down)

So hopefully the weather has been treating you nicely. Yesterday was the last day that you might have been able to order something online and have it arrive in time to wrap for Christmas with standard shipping. And let’s face it, overnight shipping is not what it’s cracked up to be, two day shipping, all of those shipping methods. There is always the local store, Wal-Mart, Circuit City, Office Max, Macy’s, or just the grand old shopping mall. Whatever your store is, it is great. They might still contain a few items on your list, if you are prepared to wrestle for it.

Oh there is still time for Christmas for sure. Some time to get your Christmas shopping down. The sands of time are ticking down. Twelve days until Christmas, which reminds me of one of the more infamous Christmas songs, the Twelve Days of Christmas. Twelve days of Christmas, twelve more days of Christmas shopping, funny how everything ties together in a nice little loop.

It does seem like everyone and their brother and their brother’s cousin’s dog’s half sister have remade some version of the Twelve Days of Christmas. And let us not go into all of the knockoffs and the parodies of that song that are available. Like the Redneck Twelve Days of Christmas and the Twelve Pains of Christmas, some good stuff. Twelve days of Christmas and twelve more shopping days left for Christmas.

As I try to shake the Monday morning blues, I’ll try and get on with my day. I’ll shut up so you can do your Christmas shopping if you haven't done so already and I’ll be back tomorrow as usual.
