Five Things That will Doom Anyone Hoping to Become President

With the Presidential Election coming along in November 2012, let us here at the Blog of Insanity talk about some things that can doom a potential candidate. The American people are rather touchy these days about everything and they are sick and tired of rhetoric, they want results. 2012 will be an interesting year.

Five Things That Will Doom the Hopes of a stint in the White House.

1) Anything regarding sending even more troops overseas. They have been brought hope from Iraq, but now comes the time where the United States needs to take a step back and sort a lot of things out. I think that we have stuck our toes into too many pools and that is no small part of the reason why this country is in the state is in. When you worry about policing those overseas, you shouldn’t be surprised when the country that you are working in goes apart.

2) Saying things that can be easily disproven by a Google search by any moron with a computer. In this day and age, politicians really can’t get away with anything. There is no shortage of concrete data out on the World Wide Web that is going to make them look like the fools that they are. The fact is the average politician is so far out of touch with technology(as SOPA is in fact proving), really does baffle and they can’t cover up things anymore. And if they’re out of touch with technology, they’re out of touch with the American people.

3) Don’t try and talk about things that you have no absolute knowledge about. Again, at one time, politicians have mastered the fine art of the “BS” but now it is clear as day when they are pulling things out of their ass. Every bit of data can be interpreted in a favorable way or a not so favorable way if you look at it from a certain angle.

4)Anything about health care or education. Those two topics are like pipe bombs waiting to go off, considering those are two areas that the United States government has yet to properly tackle. Education in particular is one area that is really spiraling down into the sewer more and more with each passing year in the United States. The government is sticking their nose into a school and nothing says “out of touch more” than a bunch of middle aged people trying to think they know how to fulfill any needs of the youth of America. I fear what kind of teachers we’re going to have about ten or fifteen years down the line, because I doubt teaching is going to be a field many are going want to go into, as they have fewer good role models than the children of fifteen years ago.

Health care, well health care is always going to be a touchy subject. There are many varying mediums, schools of thought, and I think it goes without saying that we’re getting to the point where there is no right answer that won’t backfire in a horrific manner regarding health care.

5) Anything that favors the wealthy. The wealthy, the one percenters as they have been called, are not the most popular people in the United States. This gaping chasm between those in poverty and those wealthy, with a middle class that is almost nonexistent, particular microscopic.

In the end, the 2012 election is going to be an interesting one and a scary one as well. One must wonder what might happen. Only time will tell.
