Beaten to Death for Practicing Witchcraft in the 21st Century!

You know, there are a lot of stupid people in the world. I think that is just something that we have long since come to accept that. However, when religion is thrown in the mix with stupid people, there is going to be a lot of times where something bad is going to happen. There are many various religions in the world and no matter what religion you believe in, great. But there are some lines that should not ever be crossed by any civilized person, no matter what religious beliefs or lack there of.

And beating your own son to death for practicing witchcraft is a line that should not be crossed.

British citizens immigrated from the Congo apparently beat their son for practicing witchcraft to death. And may have beaten their other children. My mind was automatically disgusted with the words “beat their son” and became even more disgusted with the words “for practicing withcraft” and add in the words “to death” and you know there is a special place right in hell for them.

The fact of the matter is this, the fact that people are still believing in the practicing of witchcraft, in the 21^st century, and thinking that some demon needs to be exorcised from them kind of appalls me. That is one of the facets of any religion that I will never buy in a million years. It gives people a license to trash people who practice religions that they do not follow. They are possessed by the devil, they are possessed by demons, whatever, because they are not practicing the one true religion.

Here’s a bit of a newsflash for you people. There is no one true universal religion. They all have holes in them big enough to drive a truck through. However, it is the matter of your faith and what you believe that makes it real to you. However, to bash other belief systems to prop up your own actually only cheapens your religion and makes everyone practicing it look bad.

Beating your child to death no matter what the reason, is a sign of mental illness. That is just really all that there is to it. There have been parents who have beaten their children to death because they are homosexual, because they mouthed off, because they didn’t get good grades in school, for any number to stupid reasons.

And witchcraft…really this is a huge problem that I have in general with a lot of religious fanatics. Ninety percent of people who practice any kind of religion are cool in my book, it’s the ten percent of people that I can’t stand that are going to be the most vocal, and the most obnoxious and the most disturbing. Remember all of the bashing of Harry Potter because it promoted witchcraft? A lesser level of ignorance exhibited by those…IN THE NAME OF THE LORD!

I hope God kicks your ass, before sending you down to hell. As anyone who kills anyone, no matter what in the name of God.

I feel like we’re back in Salem and looking back, it’s obvious what a circus that was.
