The day is here,
it is December 11th 2011. Where we have 14 days(including today) and
counting to Christmas. Which means we have a rather lucky 13 days(including
today) and counting, of shopping days until Christmas. Those later comers for
Christmas shopping are entombed right in the pressure cooker.
Let’s talk about online shopping.
It is rather convenient isn’t it? You don’t have to leave your home, drive all
the way to the store, and find that the item that you are looking for is all
sold out. If the item is in stock or if it is not in stock, you will know
rather quickly what the score is going to be online.
Thirteen days until Christmas
however and if you want standard shipping, that is 7-10 business days for most
websites. Which means if my math is correct(and it rarely is, but let’s just
assume that it’s true), you have to order today if you want to get your gifts
right before Christmas in the mail. Where you have to rush to wrap?
Speaking of which, did you buy
wrapping paper? Well if you didn’t, if you have old newspapers going around,
they are a rather inexpensive source of wrapping paper. It’s all about
recycling in the green world we live. Of course, if you had brought your cans
to the recycling center in your town, you would have had some spending money to
Christmas. It does add some character to wrap your Christmas in the funny
pages. There is nothing like having your gift wrapped in Garfield.
It’s Sunday, so I wish to kick
back and relax just a little bit more. I have long since gotten my Christmas shopping
done. Do you? Anyway, I’ll be around and here with more, talking to procrastinators
around the nation here on the Blog of Insanity.
