Postal Service Closed in United States on January 2nd

The United States Postal Service (along with the stock market) will be closed on January 2nd 2012. This is because New Year's Day falls on a Sunday, which they normally get off anyway, so they need an extra day off. The United States Postal Service never misses a chance to get an extra day off, do they? Schools are likely to be starting in many areas in the middle of the week, as opposed to the beginning. So for those who want to send something out on Monday through the actual postal mail, you're going to have to wait until Tuesday January 3rd 2012.
