Romney High School Incident Controversy

The easiest way to find out when election season is coming is when all of the skeletons from the past come back to haunt those running from president. This was the case of Mitt Romney, who was alleged in 1965 at Cranbook High School been part of an assault of a homosexual young man, holding him down and cutting his hair.

The point really does remain that it does not matter if the incident is true or not. The fact remains that the whispers of the incident are out there and everyone will always look at Romney in a new light. The 2012 Presidential Election is coming up and when we hear of bad things that the candidates have done right in the past, it is just a part of the actual process of politics.

It is hard to say how much this will doom Mitt Romney. On one hand, in this day and age, something like that is just not accepted, intolerance to those who have a romantic attraction to those who are in the same sex.

On the other hand, in the year 2012, there are still people who do not look favorably to those who are classified as homosexual. Those consider gay people to be "sinners" and the "word of the devil". Marriage should as "God has intended between a man and a woman." Whether or not we can really know what God has intended or any other higher power that one will worship, is something that will be debated hotly.

There is also the fact that it does not matter if the person was homosexual, heterosexual, bisexual, or had no sexual attraction to anything, the fact remains that holding someone down, roughing them up, and cutting their hair is assault. Pure and utter assault no two questions about it.

Romney claims that he has no recollection of such an incident. Whether you, the voter, chooses to believe him or not, the is up to each individual person. It will be a small miracle if this is the kindest thing to comes out in the 2012 Presidential Election based on the past of Mitt Romney or Barack Obama.
