Five Reasons Why PTC Websites are Doomed to Failure

No doubt many people online have tried Pay to Click or PTC websites at least once. And have come to the same realization about many of them. It is for the most part a time wasting and useless activity. It can be for any number of reasons but the fact of the matter is, the amount of PTC websites that have failed for any number of reason far out strip those who have completely succeeded.

At the very least, PTC websites are slow earning, where you scrounge for months to get a few bucks. At the very worst, PTC websites are complete and utter scams that waste your time and often times for some people, your money as well. It is ill advised to invest your money into anything unless you’re certain it pays and even then, tread extremely lightly.

Here are five reasons why ninety five percent of PTC websites are absolutely failures within the first six months.

 1) Not Having a Sound Business Plan

It’s just common sense 101 that to have any kind of business, you really do need to have a plan. Strictly speaking, a lot of PTC websites don’t become scams because of the fact that the people running them are dishonest. They become scams due to the fact that the person running it is unable to run a business smartly. The same is true both online and offline.

2) Not Formulating a Plan Where the Math Adds Up.

It is painfully obvious that there is no way the match can add up on many websites, even if it’s not some outlandish scam like “5 dollar clicks” or whatever the scam might be. You get a few users upgrading, perhaps a few advertisers, but many more are just clicking. After a round of pay offs, you’re going to find out that the money you pay out is going to outstrip the money that you make in. Given that the negative reputation PTC websites have, it just goes without saying that it’s going to take something great to make the users feeling like upgrading is worth their while and advertisers feeling that it is worth there while to keep advertising.

3) Advertisers Not Happy With Results

It’s not impossible to get results on PTC websites if you’re an advertiser. However, you’re going to have to eventually accept one truth. The vast majority of people clicking on those advertisements will never, ever sign up or purchase anything. That is just the nature of the beast. Granted you might get some sales but don’t expect to throw up an advertisement and suddenly your business breaks open. Many advertisers realize what an utter waste of time and money PTC websites are and thus they begin pulling their ads. Less advertisers buying the ads equals less money. Granted, sometimes they get replaced but there will be times where that advertising revenue runs dry and that’s money you need to stay afloat.

4) Users have short attent…OHHH SHINY!

I’m sure many people reading are guilty of this. Those who stay past a website for more than a few weeks are rather an exception rather than the rule and those who stay with it for more than a couple of months are even more exceptional. People in general have short attention spans, which means users come and users go. However those users are not going to upgrade or make any purchases to entice advertisers to stay. So that is a huge reason why Pay to Click websites tend to fall by the wayside.  That’s not really all that much of the fault of the websites, just a general fault in a lot of people. However, that cannot help their life.

5) Some people are just dishonest scumbags.

The most obvious reason is people tend to take the money and run. Obviously there have been people who are multi time offenders, with more PTC websites that have done this. And sadly, Pay to Click scams tend to be rather small potatoes. At the most people who haven’t invested money aren’t going to get a payout. Which really, it’s not illegal to make people waste their time. Those who invest money have a bit more of a leg to stand on. Still people that are less than honest are part of the reason why PTC websites fail. Once burned, people are not going to return to the well. Stop me if you’ve heard these before.

1) A person is banned before they reach the payout due to “breaking the terms of services”.

2) Payouts have some absurd length on the back end. Payouts can be anywhere from 14 days to two/three/four/six/whatever months. By that time, most people have long since forgotten about a few dollars.

3) The website goes down for maintenance so it can return “better than ever”. And eventually just vanishes without a trace.

In the end, the cycle of PTC websites will continue. There will be people who will always go onto the online earning game brand new and the first thing they will go to are PTC websites. Many people will get frustrated and realize that PTC websites might not be worth their time. The cycle continues. And even the most honest could be bound for failure due to their inept business skills.
